Our log files are being generated daily which is a bit of pain. Does anyone know whether there is a way to consolidate log files before using Weblog Expert to analyse them?
You can use a wildcard like ex1104*.log (including path like c:\Logs\ex1104*.log).
You can also specify a wildcard like c:\Logs\*.log and specify time range in Profile Properties > Time Range (if you use the Standard, Professional or Enterprise edition). When you analyze the profile the first time, the program will read all the log files (but show statistics for the specified time range only). However, after it WebLog Expert will remember time ranges for all the logs and in the future it will read log files for the specified time range only.
It's not necessary to consolidate log files before analyzing them with WebLog Expert - you can specify a wildcard like c:\Logs\*.log instead of log file name in the profile properties to analyze all the log files at once.
