Is there a best way to interpret the WebLog Expert reports for a CRM based web application

You can filter them out by creating an exclude "Requested file" filter in Profile Properties > Filters.

Thanks Michael, I'll have to talk to my Weblog admin about the settings. Currently I see for example on Access Statistics --> Pages, it lists page visits for just about every component of a page such as an icon.aspx, Formscript.js.aspx and styles.css.aspx. Is there a way to remove them or filter them out?

The program should be able to analyze logs of CRM-based sites the same way as it analyzes logs for other sites. The only difference is that the CRM-based sites usually use query paramaters instead of file names to distinguish different pages, so you may need to set the program to show query parameters in file names.

You can do it by unchecking the "Truncate text after question marks (?) in file names" option in the program options, "Analysis | General" category. It is also possible to set this option for specific profile only in Profile Properties > General > Custom analysis settings > Query parameters in file names.

You can also set the program to show titles along with file names by enabling the "Retrieve page titles" setting in Profile Properties > General.
