Tried this and it comes back with an empty report, even though I see the directory name I want many times in the log file! I want to build an exclusive report on this sub-directory. This is what I have in my log file I'm running this against....

I am having the same problem

I added include /blog/* just as the video described, but it produced a list of all directrories, not simply the one I wanted.

You need to enter /directorytoreporton/* as the filter value (with slash at the beginning like in log file).

The issue may appear if you also have other include filters, not just this one. E.g. if you have an include "Requested file" filter with value /blog/* and also an include "Country" filter with value US, the program will show information on all requests for files in the /blog/ directory (from all countries) and all requests from the USA (for files in any directories).

However, it is also possible to create filters with multiple criteria. E.g. if you wish to get information on requests for /blog/* from the USA only, you need to create an include filter ans choose "Multple (Hits)" as filter criteria mode. After it you need to add these two criteria ("Requested file" and "Country").

Michael,

I have other filters. Most were excludes.

One, necessary because I am on a virtual server was simply to Include the specified domain, as opposed to any others.

So I suspect from you answer, the effect of this is to include all of the domain or the Blog.

I will have to do the inclusive AND you suggested

WebLog Expert FAQ
Create an include "File" filter with wildcard like "/dir/*" (without quotes). [View demo]

You can create a report on this folder only by creating an include "Requested file" filter with wildcard /mywebsite/document/allpdf/* in the profile properties.
