Numbers are different in reports between enterprise and professional versions of WLE

I use the Enterprise version while my colleague uses the Professional WLE but we had notice differences in stats for analysis of the same log file data.

We have checked our profile settings and they are both identical.

We also have identical import filter settings.

Note also that we are comparing the same day and getting slightly different results, out by 1 to 5%.

Is this a known issue?

It seems that the difference appears because the lists of IPs to ignore (Options > Analysis > Ignore Lists > Ignore hits by host) differ.

There are some differences in profiles too, especially the DNS Lookup and "Custom analysis settings" properties (they are both available in Profile Properties > General), so you should check them too.

I have now sent the email with the backups attached.

Thanks Michael. I'll send the backup profiles to you shortly. Note that I can confirm that we are both using the same Geo IP and organization databases, so it must be some profile difference.

Thanks,
Gordon

The Professional and Enterprise editions should show the same results.

You should also check that you use the same versions of geolocation databases (city/state and organization), you can check the installed version by using the Help > Check for Updates command.

If you use the same databases, there should be some differences in either profile settings or program options. You can save the settings from both computers using the File > Backup command and send to us at support@weblogexpert.com so we'll check why the difference occurs.

We are both using the same version (7.8). Its just that my colleague is using the Professional license.

Do you use the same version (e.g. 7.8) of the program? You can check it in the Help > About dialog.
