In the report from our IIS logs, the browser report is showing that 10% of the browsers are AdvancedInstaller. I have looked at the cfg file and it does not have a listing AdvancedInstaller. I know that AdvancedInstaller is an installation program, but does anyone have any idea why it would be showing up as a browser in the report and what browser it should be?

Thanks Michael, that explains it. We do have some of our programs installed with Advanced Installer and they do check for updates.

The program automatically shows useragent value as browser name if it cannot detect browser or spider name for it using built-in definitions, that's why AdvancedInstaller is shown in the reports.

It seems that Advanced Installer may request files on servers to perform updates and maybe for other purposes, and it uses the "AdvancedInstaller" useragent in this case. You should check what files are requested by this useragent, maybe it will help you to determine while such requests appear in your log files. You can use the "Browser" filter to get report on requests of the browser/useragent only.
