Why doesn't Daily Visitors equal visitors in Activity by Day of Week?

Reporting on a week's worth of log files.

Daily visitor graph show 1/21 (weds) had about 50,000 visitors. 1/24 (sat) 34,000.

Activity by Day of Week shows our busiest day was Saturday with around 67,000 (not 34,000) visitors.

Why the discrepancy?

I think you could be correct. I see the time range is 1/16/2015 16:59:59 - 1/25/2015 22:59:59

Maybe the log files you analyze contain data on two Saturdays (1/17 and 1/24), so statistics for Saturday in the Day of Week report contains total activity for both of them.
