Setting up SMTP report destination with SSL

I'm trying to setup my SMTP server so I can send report via email, but my server requires SSL authentication. I've changed the port to 465 but I see no means by which to set the authentication.

Unfortunately the program doesn't support SMTP over SSL now.

You can try to use some SMTP SSL proxy software that allows using non-SSL mail senders with SSL servers, but unfortunately we don't have experience with such software.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Outlook 365 authentication problem.

We are using WebLog Expert for many years, and all was fine till we started to switch from GroupWise to Outlook (office 365). I used local SMTP server 10.10.10.6.
Now I have to use smtp.office365.com. If I don't enter authentication information I don't get my report, it's just disappearing. If I enter valid user name and email I get an error
504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Helen

Hi Helen! The problem is probably caused by the issue mentioned above. Unfortunately we don't have an additional solution for the issue at the moment.
