Group visitor ID's with single user id

I've been a pest lately and I appreciate all of your help!

Not every one of my log entries have the USERNAME attached to it... I like the way WLE groups user activity with its "Visitor ID" is there any way to automatically assume all activity associated with a Visitor ID is by the same user if at least one user name field is populated? when i filter reports by authenticated users, I am missing all kinds of activity, because not all activity is tagged with the user id..

Example taken from visitor id report
(note only two user name stamps "Guest" yet all activity is by the same user):

Unfortunately it's not possible now, visitor ID (determined by IP address + timeout) and username aren't related now.

as a feature can you add visitor ID to the filter list? or better yet, add a visitor id column to the authenticated users report?

or maybe easier... add the username column to the log details/visitors report..

The problem is that visitors are determined by IP, and the same visitor may have requests with and without username (or even with different usernames), so it's not possible to show username for visitors in the table. Authenticated user can also correspond to multiple visitors.

We'll consider adding visitor id to filter list, by it is unlikely that we implement it in the near versions of the program, as it is very rarely requested. However, or each visitor you can view a list of its hits in the by clicking on the "Details" icon near the visitor ID.

Thank you for your help, I have one more question... Can I supply my own visitor ID value in the access.log ? I'm going to assume NO.

I could use a fingerprint javascript to make more user specific ID's. I would just create my own query value and do this, but I can't seem to find the ability to filter based on query value either.... Is there the ability to filter based on query value, or custom report values?

Supplying visitor id is not possible. Filtering by query isn't available in the dynamic reports, only in profile properties, while you can create a table based on query parameter values. However, please note that query parameter will work on hit level, not on visitor level, so I'm not sure it will be useful in your case.
