Separating different domains

I hope I'm using the right name. When I say "protocol identifier," I am referring to the three-letter element before the domain name, which is usually www. In the case of the website I'm attempting to use WebLog Expert on, it's either www. or free.

How can I soft the data so if the visitor came through either www.domainname.com or domainname.com directly it will go into one report, whereas if they used either www.free.domainname.com or free.domainname.com it will go into a separate report? I'm presently using the Free version. In Profile Properties --> General, regardless of whether I use domainname.com or free.domainname.com the stats come back identical, with no separation between the two. Is this something I can change in the Free version? If not, can it be done in either the Standard, Professional or Enterprise version? Thanks.

In this case www.domainname.com, www.free.domainname.com as well as names without "www" are different domain names. If you log files contain information on what domain was requested for each hit, you can use filters to get information on specific domains only.

The filters are available in the Standard, Professional and Enterprise editions. The Lite edition doesn't have this capability. You can download a fully functional 30-day trial version of the program from http://www.weblogexpert.com/download.htm and try it with your log files.

You need to create an include "Virtual domain" filter with value "www.domainname.com domainname.com" (without quotes) to get information on domains without "free", and "www.free.domainname.com free.domainname.com" (without quotes) to get information on domains with "free".
