WLE crashing

I occasionally get crashes for WLE when I run my logs. The problem occurs after analyzing 94% or so of the log. It is almost as if the logs somehow were corrupted. My ISP insists it isn't their fault. But whatever the problem is it always seems to be miraculously cleared up the following month. Any ideas what could be causing it?

We are not aware of any such problems with the latest version of the program. What version do you use? If you use an old version, I recommend you to try the latest one, you can check for updated using the Help > Check for Updates command from the main menu.

If you use a recent version, could you please provide more information on the issue?

1. What version of Windows to you use?
2. Does the problem reappear if you try to analyze the same log files once again after the crash?
3. What is the average size of log files you analyze?
4. Could you send us information on the crash (Exception Code, Exception Offset and other information provided by Windows)? You can find it in the Reliability Monitor and/or Windows event log.

Hi Michael,

Here is the additional info you are requesting:
It is the latest version of WLE.
I am running Vista.
The crash happens again if I rerun the report. It is actually happening on two different log reports for two different sites. Same results if I rerun the report.
The sizes of the two logs are 9MB and 430KB.
I'm not sure where to get the info on the crash you are looking for, I found the reliability monitor but there isn't any info on a WLE crash there.

I can post one of the log files for you (the smaller one!) if you think that might help.
Thank you for the help.

Could you please send the log file along with the program settings (you can save them using the File > Backup command) to us at support@weblogexpert.com?

We have checked the issue. The problem appeared because of some corrupted lines that cannot be processed. We have fixed the problem so the program doesn’t crash anymore in this case, you can download the updated program from http://www.weblogexpert.com/files/WLE...

However, some corrupted lines can be read, while the program reads incorrect date from them (e.g. a date from 2016). You can choose a custom time range in the profile properties to filter out these values.
