Stats on a single file

Avatar
I can't seem to get visitor statistics for a single file buried four directories down on our web server. I have filtered by /dir/dir/dir/filename.htm, using both the actual words and using wildcards. I have also tracked the file using the complete path. I either get totally unrelated files, or no files. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

It seems that the file name you enter doesn't match file name in the logs and reports. You should check what file name is shown in the Access Statistics reports, e.g. maybe there is an extra dir in the path shown. The file name in the filters should be entered as you did (without domain like /dir/dir/dir/filename.htm).

If it doesn't help, could you please send your settings (you can save them using the File > Backup command) along with a log from your site to us at support@weblogexpert.com? We'll check them to determine what causes the problem.

Michael,
Thanks for the quick response. The file is question has a space in the name - workmans compensation.htm. WebLogs does not appear to see it. When I used an include filter with the space in the filename - file is not found
Include filter with *.htm - file is not found
Include filter with %20 replacing the space - file is not found
I noticed WebLog will see files with the _ instead of a space (ie: workmans_comp)
So, new question - is there a setting in WebLog Expert to tell it to recognize a space in file names?

There shouldn't be problems with file names with spaces if log files have correct format (we can check the log format if you send a log file to us). You should only note that if you use the "Requested file" filter you need to delimit file names that include spaces with quotes.
