Mail report issue error 11004

Hi,
We are experiencing errors for report mail delivery:

The server where WEBLOGEXPERT is running is set to work with DNS servers but I am not sure if this the root cause.

Mail server is a relay server, so no credentials are requiered, I have checked the mail connections using SMTP commands through telnet in the WEBLOG Expert machine and the mail delivery works fine.

The problem has been solved by changing antivirus policy (antivirus didn't allow the program to send email).

It seems that the program cannot resolve the SMTP server name. You should check that your firewall allows the program to access the Internet including resolving domain names. If it doesn't help, you can also try to enter IP address of the server instead of the domain name in the program options.

Hi Michael,

The server has no total access to internet, using the mail server IP, this machine is over the same subnet, the results are KO, 10061 connection refused.

Remeber that I can connect to smtp manually using telnet.

Other report delivery question, Can Weblog Expert use a SFTP server instead of ftp?

The error may appear if either SMTP server is specified incorrectly or if the program cannot resolve the server domain (while it shouldn't be the case as you specified the server IP). Could you post here or send us by email screenshot of the Options > Network > E-mail dialog? Our email is support@weblogexpert.com

The program doesn't support SFTP now.
