Custom date ranges in the report viewer
Can I specify a custom date range within the report viewer? Seem to be only able to pick last day or all time etc

It's not possible to choose date ranges in the report viewer, it always uses date range specified in the profile properties. Among all report types it is only possible to select custom date range in dynamic HTML reports now, while these reports cannot show click overlay.
