Tracking Code data not showing in reports

The reports from the Tracking Code don't have any data in the reports. I have those reports turned on for the profile. I see in the log files lines with the call for the JavaScript and graphic files with the entry for the graphic file has the associated data such as screen resolution, color depth, etc. I have everything checked within IIS for logging.

I had just installed the tracking code recently but ran a special report that grabbed the logfile that contains the Tracking Code in it. Nothing appears in the web server reports except the message "No data available for the selected date range."

In the HTML reports I don't see any reports that deal with the Tracking Code. In Options > Report > Tables & Contents I have everything checked. For the profile, I do not have "Custom report contents" checked so it should be using the Options information.

Could you please send the log file you analyzed to us at support@weblogexpert.com so we check it?

The log file is on it's way.

The problem appears because the wle_tracker.js and wle_tracker.gif files are located in the WebLog subfolder. You need to place them to the root folder to make the program recognize them.

Roger. At another job I had used your product and put the files in a folder so I could keep things organized. But, I suspect that was with an older version of your program and maybe everything wasn't working correctly there.

I did modify the JavaScript code to look for the image in that folder which I suspect you saw in the log files. But, I suspect your program looks for the Tracking Code string to be in the root and not a subfolder. Is that the reason?

Yes, the latest versions look for the tracking image in the root only.

We have changed the way the program handles the tracking image in the latest version (8.0 beta), the program recognizes the tracking image in subfolders too now.

Thanks for keeping me updated.

You've gotten me out of the practice of putting it into subfolders for organization but maybe I'll try it again someday soon.
