This was in use on an old Windows server 2008 machine. Boss wants it running on Windows Server 2016. When I try to install it, the computer crashes. Nothing in the event log.

The installer itself doesn't have any special code, just usual operations related to the program setup. So there should be some problem with the server, e.g. a driver problem or a faulty hard disk. I recommend you to check if there are any other error information, as usually Windows creates dumps or other logs when it crashes.

I also have this problem. What actually happens is as soon as I start the installer, the server loses internet connectivity and has to be rebooted remotely. I can find no way around this. I've checked the download file seems to be intact and tried running the same exe on Windows 10 (no problem).
The issue may be related to a license check the installer perform when it starts. I have prepared a special installer without the check, you can download it from https://www.weblogexpert.com/files/ar...

Could you please check if it works correctly?

Hi there, thanks for that. It's now installed and up and running. Am I OK to continue to use this now? Will it be a problem if I install updates in future?

Yes, you can continue using it. The program itself is the same as the usual version, just the installer has been changed. There shouldn't be a problem to install the updates in the future as we are going to fix the installer for all users.

We have updated the program installer at http://www.weblogexpert.com/download.htm so it shouldn't cause the problem anymore.

Do you run it in AWS or another cloud environment? If you run it in AWS, could you provide an AMI name you use (if it's a public AMI) so we can check it?

We have performed tests in Windows Server 2016 in AWS and it worked without problems, maybe it causes problems with another AMIs.

Hey there, our VPS is on a Xen hypervisor in a third party datacentre. Using 9.5. Connectivity is lost as soon as the exe is executed.
