Downloaded files Vs Tracked Files

Hi,

What is the main difference between Downloaded files Vs Tracked Files ? because in some reports i have the same results (Same files, Same hits, etc) in both sections, but in other reports i have differents results in both sections. I know that in the Tracked files section i have more details about a specific file but why sometimes i have differents files in both sections ?

You may get information on different files because the downloaded files statistics include information on files that have extensions specified in Options > Analysis > Files. Unlike it the tracked files report includes information on files that match wildcards specified in Profile Properties > Tracking. So some files may be shown in the downloaded files reports, but not shown in the tracked files statistics, and vice versa. You should check the settings mentioned above in this case.

Ok, make sens, but why i have differents number of hits in the Download files section and in the Main Data 'File name' section for the same File ?

ex :
1: Downloaded file section : /documents/lecon234.pdf 8504 hits 2028 visitors
2: Main Data 'File name' section, using the filter */documents/* :
/documents/lecon234.pdf 8602 hits 2165 visitors

Custom tables include statistics on requests from spiders and failed requests by default, while the Downloaded files report doesn't include them.

You can exclude these requests in your custom table too:
1. Open the table properties.
2. Enable the "Custom analysis settings" on the "General" tab.
3. Click the "Customize" button to the right of the "Custom analysis settings" checkbox and enable options to exclude requests from spiders and to exclude failed requests.

I only have 2 options for the exclude : Exclude All and Exclude Specified, i dont have the option to exclude spiders and failed requests. It should be under Exclude Specified ? if yes, what's the Parameters for those options ?

You need to change the settings of your custom table (with Main Data 'File name'), not the profile properties:
