Remove Google Cross-Domain tracking

Recently we implemented Google Cross-Domain tracking on all our domains. Within WebLog Expert the results show all the unique calls from one site to another with the "?ga=" parameters (i.e. http://mydns/?_ga=1.210925525.1977613...). Without removing any other query parameter on a website, is there a way to remove this query completely and only show the website URL?

You can remove just this parameter in Profile Properties > General > Custom analysis settings > Files. Choose "Exclude specified" as "Query parameters in file names" and enter "_ga" (without quotes) as "Parameters to exclude."

I tried as you suggested and reran one of the profiles with the change in place. It didn't make a difference in the results at all.

I still see in the report Access Statistics > Pages many line items for http://my.company.com/?_ga="various numerical values".

Every link I see is to the site without a page (DNS without page). Would that make a difference? The profile does have a home page filled in.

If you add the _ga parameter to the list of parameters to be excluded, it shouldn't be shown in the Pages report. Could you send us a sample log from your site as well as the program settings (you can save them using the File > Backup command) so we check why the problem occurs?
