WebLog Expert FAQ
In some cases after reading log files the program doesn't have any information about visitors' activity that can be analyzed.

There might be several reasons for such problem:

1. WebLog Expert doesn't support the format of your log files or the log files don't contain any information about visitors' activity.

2. The log files don't contain information about any hits within the time range specified in the profile properties.

3. All data is filtered out by the specified filters or ignore lists.

As I understand you can analyze the same log files using other profiles without problems. In this case there should be a problem with settings of this profile. Does it work if you set the time range in it to "All activity" as well as disable filters (if you use any)?

I'm thinking there just isn't any hits for this last month. I ran it for this month, even though there isn't much at this point, but it did generate a report. So, there must not be content for last month.

I get the same problem but in my case I have log data from three sites combined into one access_log file. I have tried using the filters but they give me that "The analyzed log files don't contain any information." Any suggestions on how to fix is appreciated TIA

If the error is shown even if you don't use the filters, it should be a problem with the log format. If it is shown only if you use the filters, it can be a problem with the filters or with the log format (e.g. if it doesn't contains a field required for the filter you need).

You can send us a sample log file from your site as well as filters you use, so we'll check what causes the problem. Our email is support@weblogexpert.com
